It is Monday and a new week. I went back to the gym after a couple weeks hiatus and feel great for doing so. Do not get me wrong, I love to eat with blatant disregard of calories. My husband has a saying " All that stuff you eat in private shows in public..." He's full of nuggets like that. I like going to the gym. I have decided I like going not just for the obvious physical reasons but for the camaraderie of fellow moms. We are all there sans our little ones, at least for 1 hour, and we get to kick the crap out of bag or a self defense dummy. It is cathartic. We laugh, we push each other, we listen, we empathize, we race, we cheer each other on, and we share information all between reps, laps and drills. It's a hen house and it rejuvenates me. I need gym for my mental well being as well as my physical.
